ZEPHYR LIVE
ART’S BAR & GRILL - MAY 2, 1973

TBACD-6

After having broken up, and not playing together as Zephyr for almost two years, the band reunited for this concert. The end result was a performance on par with the best shows Zephyr ever performed. The band is extremely dynamic. The rhythm section of David Givens and Bobby Berge is awe inspiring, Candy Givens is in great form on vocals, John Faris colors the music with his trademark Hammond B-3 organ stylings, and Tommy Bolin is nothing short of spectacular. In fact, for those who marvel at Tommy’s most adventurous and powerful performances, this recording will be of particular interest. The sum total of the parts is the reason why Zephyr is a true legend... – MIKE DRUMM
